Jacqueline Fernandez hails from Manama in Bahrain. Her family was raised as part of a multiethnic household. Jacqueline's father Elroy is Sri Lankan (Catholic Sinhalese) and her mother, Kim, a Malaysian. She has two brothers and an older sister. The family have moved to Bahrain during the 1980s because of the Lankan turmoil and she was born and raised in Bahrain. She was given a scholarship to attend an undergraduate program at the University of Sydney in Sydney Australia, after completing her education in Bahrain. Her passion for languages and cultures inspired her to enroll in the Berlitz Language School, a school in which she improved on French and Arabic while learning Spanish. The crown was awarded to Miss Sri Lanka 2006 for Miss Universe 2006 on March 6, 2006 and competed at Miss Universe 2006. After winning Miss Sri Lanka title in 2006, she stepped into the world of TV and was the host of a show that was a business show in Sri Lanka known as Lanka Business Report. Padukone (the mother of former badminton player Prakash Padukone) was born and raised in Bangalore. As a teenager Padukone competed in a variety of National badminton competitions. However, she resigned from her passion for the game when she decided to pursue a career as a professional model. Padukone's mother tongue is Konkani. The model is Mangalorean by origin. Her ancestors hail from the village Padukone in Kundapura Taluk, in the Udupi district of Karnataka state of India. His father, Prakash Padukone, is an ex-badminton player with world-class fame, while her mother works as a travel agent.
